Technical Director, The Grand Theatre

Paul attended Humber College for Theatre Technical Production, and freelanced as a technician for a couple of years after in Toronto. He then accepted a position as Head Technician at Theatre North West in Prince George, BC, where he first learned to truly appreciate his Stage Manager. He then moved back to Ontario to work with Alexis Buset at the Blyth Festival as Technical Director for the 2007 season. From there, he moved back to Toronto where he served as Technical Director at Tarragon Theatre from 2007 to 2012, helping birth new Canadian plays. He married his wife Marna on the stage at the Blyth Festival, where half of the wedding party were Stage Managers. In 2012, he accepted the position of Technical Director at the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario, where he has enjoyed the joys and challenges of working in a large union house. He is currently serving as Interim Production Manager at the Grand, covering a parental leave. He sits on the program advisory committee for the Theatre Technical Production program at Fanshawe College, and is Chair of the board of directors of the Ontario Section of CITT. He lives in London with his wife, two sons, and two cats.
