Stage Managing the Arts - Stage Management Courses and Resources for Dance, Theatre, Opera, Industrial

One of the mandates of S.M.Arts is to bring the Conference to communities outside of Toronto.  Our hope is to make this a yearly event.  The "On-the-road" conference are a mini-version of the Toronto conference geared to the needs and wants of the local community.  The conferences run from a Thursday night to a Sunday night, with approximately 9 courses being taught by Janelle Rainville, Winston Morgan and local experts.

• 2009 - Winnipeg
• 2010 - Vancouver

This year's "On the Road" conference will be hosted by Vancouver from May 13th to 16th.  Classes will be held at the SHAPE Offices on West 8th Avenue.  We would like to sincerely thank Ingrid Turk and her committee in advance for organizing the event.  We will be offering the following courses:

• Equity Contracts
• Health & Safety / Worksafe
• ASMing
• Training Apprentices
• How to become an Apprentice Stage Manager
• Calling a Show / Prompt Script
• Giving Notes  

Registration will open on April 13th, 2010.
